Quick start
From the first launch to your first merge, with two or three agents working at once.
This takes you from a fresh install to your first merged story. If Blame is not installed yet, start with Install.
Start without an account
Open Blame. On Welcome to Blame, choose Continue without an account, or sign in. Blame remembers the choice, and everything stays on your computer until you sign in. See Using Blame without an account.
Connect an AI provider
The setup asks you to Connect your AI provider: sign in with your Claude or ChatGPT plan, or paste an API key. Then pick your coding agent's model, and one for everything else. See AI providers.
Open a project
Choose Open Project to pick a Git repository, or New Project to start from a web stack. Blame analyzes the project to learn how it runs in a preview; you can follow it on the Preview Environment page. See Previews.
Write two or three stories
In the backlog, choose New User Story. Give it a title, and describe the expected behavior and the acceptance criteria. Choose Send to Dev Agent, then do the same for one or two more stories. Their agents work at the same time, each in its own worktree. See Backlog and stories.
Try each story's app
Open a story and choose its Preview tab: it runs that story's own copy of your app, with its own ports and services.
Review and merge
When a story reaches In Review, try it, read the diff, then choose Request Changes, Reject, or Approve & Merge. See Review and merge.
For a quick fix or a question about the code, skip the backlog and use Chat, in the sidebar.
Everything above stays on your computer. Sign in later to sync across computers or use hosted services: your workspace moves into the account.
